The Story Behind STG Candles: How Grief Became a Gift

Where It Started

STG Candles — short for Strengths Timeless Grace — was born not from a business plan, but from a deeply personal place. After losing loved ones who were central to our family, the founder found that grief had a weight that needed somewhere to go. Candle-making became that place.

Each scent in our collection is a tribute. The names aren't random — they're the names and spirits of real people. Betty Jean is our beloved paternal grandmother, the matriarch whose warmth we tried to capture in damask rose and golden woods. The "S" in STG honors our maternal uncle, whose strength and perseverance are reflected in Love You More's amber and cedarwood. The "T" lives in Keep Choppin' Wood — a coastal, grounding scent for the man who taught us to keep going no matter what.

What We Make

Every STG candle is hand-poured in small batches using a luxurious coconut apricot wax blend — chosen for its clean burn, beautiful scent throw, and natural origins. Our fragrance oils are cruelty-free, non-toxic, vegan, and free from parabens, phthalates, carcinogens, and mutagens. Every candle has a cotton wick for an even, soot-free burn.

We offer two collections:

  • The Signature Collection — presented in elegant glass vessels, perfect for any home aesthetic.
  • The Cozy Collection — housed in beautiful cement vessels for a rustic, warm vibe.

Our newest additions — Antique Volumes and Alchemist Grove — are 11oz double-wick candles designed for larger spaces and longer burn times of 60+ hours.
